Description

"Nehema, sweet Nehema...", he said overjoyed. Whatever he had seen, it must have been wonderful. "I hath seen the Paradise. I hath seen it. It was better than I ever expected. More beautiful than everything I hath seen so far." Oh, thanks!, I thought grimacing my face to a pouting expression. "I floated over the land. Far and wide I couldst not see herb, not bush, nothing! No weed didst spoil my view, everything was stone, metal and brickearth. My children (he meant the metal ones) were going about, proclaiming the wise words of Karras and the Builder. And if that was not beautiful enough, I saw a cathedral, as great and gorgeous as canst be and when I walked through the gateway, right to the inside, I looked down to the choir. Before me, in the crossing, stood the altar, upon which stood a glorious golden statue of the Builder. Before the statue, I saw myself. Like a king I wore a robe with ermine fur, with a sceptre in my hand. Enchanted though I stood, a movement next to me caught my attention. As I looked, so did that Karras before me. Standing next to the king, a figure clad in finest silk, with exqisitley tiny golden cogs forming a crown upon the head. The right hand held another sceptre, small but no less breathtaking in its workmanship. I doth not know why I studied so long the trappings of this figure, when I yearned to know who it was that, exept for myself, was the only being I hath seen whilst floating over the land. And whom doest thou suppose it was, Nehema? It was thee! My sweet queen stood next to me, with a lraised head and raised sceptre. And thou said, half turned to the king, at thine side: 'My lord, who is this here? I thought we were alone.' And before the king could answer, I was torn from my vision. Oh Nehema, I hath never one better!" His voice nearly cracked from his enthusiasm. Finally I managed to put my arms around him. "I was thine queen?" I asked with a smile, although I wondered why I said in his vision 'we were alone.' Alone...The only ones. The only ones that what? Before I could think about it futher, he started moving, distracting me from my thoughts.

A <strike>thousand</strike> million! thanks for the wonderful :iconraven-studios:, who correct my translation :blowkiss: and me asked about the progress of this picture till I finished it (maybe it would never have been finished without her help  ) I dedicate this picture for you only!

The crown was inspired by this beautiful thing: [link]

Calling all the stars to fall
And catch the silver sunlight in your hands
Come for me and set me free
Lift me up and take me where I stand
She believes in everything
And everyone and you and yours and mine
I've waited for a thousand years
For you to come and blow me out my mind
She's the queen of all I've seen
And every song and city far and near
Heaven help my mademoiselle,
She rings the bell for all the world to hear.
